More Information on the Proposed Rule regarding Mixed Status households

Just to follow-up on previous communication.

Please remember this is a proposed rule.

Please do not panic if you have mixed status households. After the comment period closes, HUD will review all of the comments before issuing a final rule.

In addition, be aware that there is a strong possibility that this will face legal challenges.

The public is allowed to comment on the proposed rule until April 21, 2026
